Caleb Smith


Since the beginning of 9th grade Caleb has known that he has wanted to work with computers. There is a CIT class that he has been attending for 3 years at Burton School of Arts.  Caleb has decided when he graduates from High School he would like to be a systems administrator for a large company. He says this because he feels there is always going to be a need for someone who can work well with computers. “That in the future a lot of jobs now will be done by computers” Said Smith.
Caleb says to reach his goals of becoming a computer technician he will need a college degree in computer science. “I would like to get my Net-plus Certification and my Security-plus Certification” said Smith.  Caleb says he wants go straight to a University out of High School. When he decides what University he would like to go to he will have to be there for four years to get the degree that he needs. In order to get his A-plus Certification he must take two test, so now all he has to do is complete the second part of the test. He plans on getting a job as a computer technician and eventually working his way up to be a systems administrator.
Caleb Smith was born in Roanoke Virginia on September 18th, 1998. He currently does not have a job but is trying to find a job involving computers. Caleb’s free time consist of playing video games and working on computers. “I think it’s a growing field and who knows how it will be in the future” said Smith.  He also is a triplet with a sister named Meaghan and a brother named Cody. Caleb hopes that he will be fortunate in the computer business and is eager to use this knowledge of technology as a career goal.
